Last week Chris Copeland provided The Saturday Edge audience with a complimentary college football pick, Wisconsin -14. Several of us from TSE also selected Wisconsin in what we thought was a good situational spot for them. However, as I make mention in my Week # 4 College Football Betting Notes, the Badgers offense is not very good right now and I don’t know how much they can expect to improve this season.
We really have no idea how good Florida State is. To date, they’ve played two FCS schools and Wake Forest at home. Clemson, on the other hand, has played a couple cupcakes, but also beat Auburn on a neutral field, a game in which the Tigers rushed for 320 yards. I have no doubt FSU is a good team and has speed all over the field, but Clemson is no slouch and has a very high powered offense that will keep them in this game. I also don’t completely trust EJ Manuel for FSU. I think the Seminoles win, but Clemson keeps it close. The Tigers have also covered six of the last seven against FSU.
Florida State- 34 Clemson- 26
